Shadows fill an empty heart
As love is fading,
From all the things that we are
But are not saying.
Can we see beyond the scars
And make it to the dawn?
Change the colors of the sky.
And open up to
The ways you made me feel alive,
The ways I loved you.
For all the things that never died,
To make it through the night,
Love will find you.
What about now?
What about today?
What if you're making me all that I was meant to be?
What if our love never went away?
What if it's lost behind words we could never find?
Baby, before it's too late,
What about now?
The sun is breaking in your eyes
To start a new day.
This broken heart can still survive
With a touch of your grace.
Shadows fade into the light.
I am by your side,
Where love will find you.
What about now?
What about today?
What if you're making me all that I was meant to be?
What if our love, it never went away?
What if it's lost behind words we could never find?
Baby, before it's too late,
What about now?
Now that we're here,
Now that we've come this far,
Just hold on.
There is nothing to fear,
For I am right beside you.
For all my life,
I am yours.

Love is never selfish.
We may fail sometimes even when we give our best in something. But we should never regret the things we do for our loved ones...

BADA BING!
Back from New York just few hours ago! Thanks to my sister, brother and brother in law to have wait for me since 4am! Manhattan was a really good place to explore, shop and work in.
I like the architecture and the busy life there. Not to mention the weather is just great though morning jogs could be freezing me a little.
The 3 day PROMAX/BDA event was memorable, educational and inspiring as well. It was great to see Justin from Motionographer
talk about the best mgfx today and the talks by most other speakers gave me good insights too. Made a few friends from the industry as well as graduates from Savannah College of Art and Design
but I wasn't able to pass my namecard to this lady whom we met at awkward moments like on the lift and elevator haha. I think she is from Indonesia...
Met Chris Spencer, Marino, Karen, Sue Bailey, Marc Rosenberg and some others in the HBO Office on Monday. We shared some good ideas and how to further unify the brand and look of HBO between New York and the Asia region.
I am pleased to find out that HBO is aldready expanding in Latin America, Israel and Japan. So HBO lovers out there, we are just starting to get even BIGGA!
Anyways, here are some photos from my minicamera I wanna share with you friends here!
*Pictures not in order
A Cathedral @ 5th Avenue.
Uncle Sam hailing a cab!
My boss, Thomas and I would call this Jamban Juice :D but hey their juices were good man...!
Patrol officers are common in Manhattan but few were on horses.
"Yatta! I love New York!"
Time Square is very colorful both day and night.
Thomas and I came upon UPS office on our way to the Intrepid Museum.
Their cool Mcdonald's but our customer service here is much better in my opinion.
The public library. You can see some painters putting their inspiration on canvas around there.
Hotel rooms in Hilton at the 18th floor.
The sexy Naked Cowboy and Midtown Comics store down at 40th Street @ 7th Avenue.
Finally found Macy's further down 7th Avenue.
There is actually a store called SABON (soap in Malay) there! haha
Apart from bringing back gifts for loved ones and friends, I returned home with ideas and inspiration as well. There is so much to share from my experience but I shall
translate that through my works and art. I will definitely miss New York and hope to visit/work there someday but I am also glad to be home in
Singapore. :)

Upcoming Showreel!
Just got back from Reservist and I must say despite the lack of sleep and exhausting outfields, it was actually exciting! Great to see old army buddies again and made new ones
as well! Those who has my facebook can checkout some of the photos my OC took.
In two weeks time, I will be in Manhattan for Promax/BDA. Once i return home, the focus will shift to my portfolio site. Here are some of the screen captures I have from my showreel.
Back to the studio next week after a good weekend recovery rest. I foresee more interesting projects coming up!
10 MAY, SATURDAY 9:21PM
Pump it up!
Skated with a team of speedskaters from Indonesia this afternoon. They are strong and has good endurance. I can only manage to draft behind them and stay with the pack. Enjoyed
their kindness and skating with a bunch of nice and happy people is just fun and truly invigorating. Its great to see my teammates again after awhile. Looking forward to more trainings like these. :D
End this MAY i will be out of contact due to reservist. Mid JUNE I will be in New York with two of my bosses for PROMAX/BDA. The following month will be intense training and overseas races most likely
Korea and China. After that, my online portfolio site will be up. As for now, I need to help complete SIC site before last week of May!
OK. Time to recharge!

Triumph
Arm yourself because no one else here will save you.
There are times when life is smooth like sailing on calm seas and there are days where the rough seas accompanied by fierce thunderstorms wreck your ships. But it is those
rough seas that equip the better sailors with courage derived from fear and with knowledge through experience.
It is not a time to yield, brood and complain. Only moments to triumph over challenges.

Speedskater Potrait
After a year racing, training as a Team Micro X-Tech Speedskater, and turning 23 last december, I decided to take a speedskater potrait of myself with my custom boots. With my brother's photography assistance,
I retouched a selected photo overnight.
Above : you can see the before and after retouch. You can tell how 'artistically' messy my hair is after wearing helmet!
Below : a series of retouching progress. Spot the difference!

Christophe Huet
There are ads on the streets where you just go "That's nice..." and there are ads that keeps you speechless for a moment. With
Christophe Huet inspiring retouching skills, you can remain speechless for a little longer...

Close to Nature
I recalled how big Singapore Zoo felt when I was then a small boy. But the Zoo is actually a small collective of different animals in similar habitats. Went with my
girlfriend today to practise some animal photography.
The Zebra was really generous striking a handsome pose even though we kept stepping on it while crossing! :D
17 NOVEMBER, SATURDAY 11:59PM
X-Tech Boots
My team received our fresh custom X-Tech SpeedBoots from the sponsors today!
The interior precision feels very close to my feet. Hope it is equally smooth for the test-drive tomorrow.
11 NOVEMBER, SUNDAY 12:19AM
Shooter
My company had an air rifle event at SAFRA Yishun today. Its been some time since I last held a rifle. The day was fine and smooth though I was down with a bad throat.
Scored 99/100 for my shoot and I am starting to appreciate this sport. Reminds me of the movie SHOOTER. Checkout my target card below.
Thanks to my brother for holding it up so i can snap the cards :D

Fighter Pilot
Fighter Pilot is a beautifully executed story of Operation Red Flag, joint exercise missions amongst International fighter pilots.
The story is told through a young American
pilot's perspective whose grandfather was a well known fighter pilot. It documents the operation in a compact yet detailed manner. It does not matter if you are not a fan of
planes like me, but you sure would enjoy the experience in the cockpit!
Thanks to my colleague, Nicholas, for lending me the DVD.

Ramadhan.
It is the month of Ramadhan, close to its end this year. Challenges in life have always been a rollercoaster ride but Ramadhan has always educate us to endure any type of obstacles.
Like everyone else, I too face several obstacles in every aspects of life. But in times like this we must stay strong and be optimistic. Insyallah, good things will come to those
who pray, hope and work for the best. Prophet Muhammad have said that patience is the key to contentment.

KSOF Audio
It took me a week to compose the music for my showreel releasing this December. Inspired by Royksopp-What Else Is There track, I included several dreampads with a
very constant beat full of claps and dark kicks. This untitled 2mins track is solely used for the upcoming showreel and there will be no extended version. Check it out this
December!

System Upgrade & BF2
My home setup has finally been upgraded! A new motherboard with Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0ghz, 2gig RAM and XFX Geforce 7600gt graphics card. Not so much of a killer nor it is the
lastest directx 10 supported graphics card but it does meet my requirements for video and graphics work from home and definitely gaming.
Had to get BF2 complete collection to test the upgrade. From sniping in Europe to hitching a ride in Middle East...
and taking down Assault Helicopters in China...
exploding artillery guns along the way. I did not expect testing graphics card would be this tough a fight!
Met Joel San Juan during the upgrade at Sim Lim. We are looking forward to collaborate on a short film at the end of the year. Upcoming, more updates on my portfolio site progress.
09 SEPTEMBER, SUNDAY 11:28PM
Singapore Duck Race
The river was silent. The sun was blazing hot. And we, were early. On one end, it feels like the typical lazy Sunday.
On the other, same difference.
People slowly started to gather, anxious, curious and restless.
Some stood by the riverside steps, others prefer to follow the crowds...
...while few perched on higher curbs watching from above like seemingly busy pigeons.
Growing impatient.
*WuragGGhhhfFFF!* (Bring it on Punk!)
The anxious driver waiting from inside the truck finally gets the call.
And there, thousands of them hurried down the river faster than bumboats, stronger than sampans.
The unfortunate hundreds which had to face the gigantic bumboat Quacked while the crowds roared and cheered on the leading ducks.
The peloton eventually narrows down to the surviving fittest, leaving the weaker ducks behind, raging against the current to emerge as champions...

MGS 4 : Beauty and Beast
If you are an MGS fan like me and if you do happen to have PS3, do get MGS 4 : Guns of Patriots. The graphics are excellent as always and MGS gameplay is never a disappointment.
Meanwhile, be awed with this Beauty and the Beast Unit clip.
I don't speak Japanese but this graphics video explanation of the game sure makes alot of sense if you are in the field. They mentioned about lighting, depth of field, color and
even the High Definition details of Solid Snake's uniform. Very impressive indeed.

KSOF™
A little shift from a clowney theme to a clean elegant space. KSOF™ will have more recent Art Journal updates including my art studies, research, current works and inspirations. My best regards to all
those who kept in touch and often watching over this blog. Truly appreciate that!

Uvivmade
My young talented brother, Khairil Syafiq is at it again! Formerly known as Uviv, Uvivmade showcases his new digital artwork. He is
featured in NTMY and rumour has it in Computer Arts Magazine
in near future. Khairil has a very strong sense of photo manipulation with vector art of his own distinctive style. He dares to be innovative in his digital graphics yet remain
conservative at some point. Khairil begins his studies in Lasalle in August. All the best, brother!
I will be back from China on the 9th and a big animation project for HBO awaits me. Thanks alot to family and friends who give
tremendous support. Thanks also to my dearest for getting me alot of power gels and bars. I feel like Optimus Prime now. :D
25th April, Wednesday 12:09AM
Kevin McKidd
Kevin McKidd (Lucius Vorenus in ROME) is in town! He came down to visit HBO Studio and talked about his acting and abit of himself.
I caught only first episode of ROME Season 2. Interesting set but a little too slow for me compared to the game I am playing, ROME : TOTAL WAR!! Nevertheless, Kevin McKidd is
a good actor, only not popular. He talks like Arnold...

Mindblock
Recent black and white photos of my room.
Too much commitment and too high expectations of yourself can only result in minblock and no results. So one step at a time when youre doing something my friends,

I have finally got my CanonEOS400D! Alhamdulillah I have enough money to invest on a dslr. I was contemplating between NikonD80 and Canon EOS 400D.
But NikonD80 was made in Thailand and Canon EOS 400D made in Japan. Canon has higher technology but the grip is more comfortable for Nikon unless if you
have small hands built for Canon. Got it for 2.3k in total with a Sigma 18-200mm F3.5-6.3 lens and a BG-E3 battery grip. My new CanonEOS 400D will be utilised
for both commercial and personal motion projects, freelance photoshoots and as one of my hobbies. Im not available for wedding photography or video at the moment yet.
Looking for fashion enthusiasts and models to collaborate in this photo field at the moment.
11th February, Sunday 10:27PM
Canon EOS400D Digital Rebel XTi
My brother and I have been researching on digital SLRs and we have finally decided on Canon EOS400D Digital Rebel XTi after contemplating between it and NikonD80. Most likely to
get it end of this month or next. A new machine = new works!
The Digital Rebel XTi with the Vertical Battery grip.
The body is super-slick and the elegance of its solid exterior black smooth surface is just as sexy! Perfect for the rough outdoors and the cosy indoors!
You can checkout the detailed specifications and in-depth review here
.
Speaking of a new machine, my HDR-FX1 is on sleep mode at the moment. But in March I will be shooting on an AIDS campaign for schools using standard DV format however.

Nostradamus
It was a big mystery why I could often predict the near-future. But now at least I see some relation to it. Exactly 481 years ago, an astrologer named
Michel Nostradamus was born, same day as I am, 24th December.
Nostradamus wrote four-line verses (quatrains) in groups of 100 (centuries). His prophecies and predictions are a little obscure before the event but become crystal clear and
much understood after it has occured. Such events are 911, the attack of the terrorists on New York's Twin Tower and the Challenger Space Shuttle Disaster. You can read more of this
mystery here. What is next, Nostradamus?
